Amber Simmons is a licensed attorney from Corpus Christi, Texas.
Amber attended Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi and graduated in August 2017, graduating summa cum laude. Amber then attended St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, graduating in May 2020. Shortly after passing the bar examination in September 2020, she started her legal career at the Law Offices of Alex R. Hernandez, Jr. handling family law, criminal law, real estate matters, personal injury, and probate. It is there she fostered her passion and love for family law.
Amber has a passion for helping those in needs, especially victims of domestic violence. She was published in the Harvard Blackletter Law Journal in July 2020 with an article entitled, “Why Are We So Mad? The Truth Behind “Angry” Black Women and Their Legal Invisibility as Victims of Domestic Violence.”
Amber is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, J.L. Turner Legal Association, and a member of the Women and Law, African American Lawyers, and Family Law sections of the Texas Bar Association.
In her free time Amber enjoys reading, hanging out with her friends, and helping her community understand their rights and the legal process.
